There is a player in Epic Battlefield 0025, his outstanding performance makes the enemy thinks he is cheating. What makes this player can destroy the enemy's base so fast? What makes his rocket launcher so Unusual? With these questions in mind, we interviewed the rocket launcher master of the Warpath: “RocketMan OldChan”, from MaSS alliance in server 19.
 
Chan is from Guangdong, China. He spent 267,000 Hong Kong dollars in this game, which is equivalent to 34,000 US dollars, to optimize his RL build, He said that this game has brought him lots of inspiration in his real life too.
 

In the current version, the bomber is the most concerned part of most people, but Chan chose another development path. Through numerical calculations and observations of the version of the technology, he chose the rocket launcher as his main development direction. 

Chan has been AFK for a while. He thought that the investment to achieve strong air force was too hard for him. He believed that he needed to find another more efficient way to compete in epic battles. Then he found the unit that had the potential to change the whole meta – rocket launcher, which was misunderstood by many players. He wanted to prove that this unit was not just a hit-and-run unit as most players think.
 
Different from most players who used rocket launchers, Chan carefully calculated the relevant data, and studied how to maximize the combat effectiveness of the rocket launcher through repeated tests in real combats. Chan believes what determines the combat effectiveness of the rocket launcher is the launch cradle’s part, especially the 48-round launcher (gold ++ part), and it makes a significant difference.
 


Likewise, the selection of officers is also very important. Some rocket launchers in the army group need to be lead with awakened Bloody Mary and use her blinding ability to block enemy’s base fire.
 
In terms of unit building, Chan decided to build three 7.2 max out rocket vehicles by himself. The other two were medium tanks and light tanks; he calls it the RLM combination. The reason for this is that after complete advance warfare technology of rocket launcher, RL can launch its first attack in 2 seconds with the help of medium and light tanks; it can eliminate a unit in 2 seconds and then take off.
 
At the same time, the expanded medium tank also can be as a shield while attacking enemy’s bases. Chan can easily destroy a 80 million base with his own units only, without anyone’s help.
 
Chan says that the improvement of his rocket launcher tactic can be summarized into 3 phases. In phase 1.0, the RL adopted the most traditional style of playing, operating alone to kill the lost units, hit, and run to achieve minimum loss.
 
In phase 2.0, Chan used his base as a support for synchronous attack. When he was destroying the opponent's base or defending, the rocket launcher entered and left the base after their first attack. Once rocket launcher releases its first attack, he would immediately pull them back to the base, to minimize loss.
 
Finally, Chan came up with improved tactic 3.0, forming an army group mixed both rocket launcher and tanks. (An army group with 15 units which are including 2-3 medium tanks as shields/support, rest of units are rocket launchers and light tanks.) With this army group, Chan can launch quick attacks on enemy’s bases and destroy them before they realize.
 
The purpose of this tactic is to destroy the enemy's high-power base and make them spent all their airlifts. Once enemy is out of airlifts, territories will continue be advanced forward.
 
Finally, as the potential of the rocket launcher is seen by more players, they start to build RL as well, and Chan is planning to build his fourth rocket launcher. He is still optimizing his play style and updating his tactic.
