Hello, commanders. The official mentioned in the previous game development roadmap that they will update a new unit: helicopter. August is coming soon, before the official launch; let's analyze which helicopters will be launched.

At present, the units in the game are all from the real world, the real units of World War II. However, helicopters were not put into combat in World War II. The large number of helicopters used in combat dates back to the Vietnam War after the end of World War II.

The environment in Vietnam is not suitable for the landing and take-off of ordinary aircraft, and the unique rapid take-off and landing and site adaptability of helicopters have won the favour of the US military, which has invested a large number of helicopters for raid missions or carrying personnel.

Since the helicopter itself is not armed, when it is under attacked, the crew can only use rifles to counterattack the ground. Therefore, the US military tried to add machine guns, external rockets, and other weapons to the helicopter, officially creating the category of armed helicopter.

Referring to the modern weapon that appears in the game's landing screen, the upcoming launch is definitely based on the helicopter that debuted in Modern Warfare.

We're not sure if all three factions will have helicopters in the August update, so below we'll speculate on the helicopter prototypes for each of the three camps.

First, let's analyze the Vanguard Division (Germany). As a defeated country in World War II, Germany was bound by the Treaty of Versailles, which lifted the Air Force and restricted military research and development, resulting in restrictions on the development of German helicopter. There are not many types of armed helicopters that Germany has served.

So I speculate that the armed helicopter of the Vanguard Division will be launched is the BO-105/PAH-1. This helicopter was developed by West Germany and converted from a civilian helicopter. It has 6 anti-tank missiles and has served in a large number of West German Air Force. Since it is a German self-developed model and an early model in mass service, it is very suitable as the first armed helicopter of the Vanguard Division.

Next is the Martyrs’ Watch. This camp based on the real Soviet Union, if it wants to produce armed helicopter, it must have the Mil Mi-8.

This armed helicopter is independently developed and produced by the Soviet Union. Since its birth in the 1960s until today, there are still some countries that still produce it in service. It may not be the most famous, but it must be one of the most produced. In addition, it also has a derivative model Mil Mi-17. If the helicopter can be upgraded and evolved in the game, then the Mi-17 may be launched as an upgrade route of the Mi-8.

Finally, there is the Camp Liberty. The prototype of the Camp Liberty is the Allied forces in World War II, and the prototypes of the currently launched units are from France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. If you want to choose a representative armed helicopter among these three countries, everyone's first reaction must be the Apache helicopter of the United States.

But I don't think so. Apache will definitely be in the game, but most likely not so soon. Because of the popularity of Apache, coupled with its powerful strength, the official will definitely not let players get it as soon as they come up. I speculate that it will be released after the helicopter is launched for a long time.

So I deduce that the helicopter of the Camp Liberty is not the Apache first, but another model that is also well-known in the Vietnam War: the UH-1 Iroquois "Huey". In the movie "Forrest Gump", Forrest Gump and the other soldiers were sent to Vietnam by UH-1.

At the same time, "Huey", like the Mi-8 mentioned above, is one of the most produced armed helicopters in the world, plus it was put into the Vietnam War in 1962. Therefore, it has the greatest possibility to be the first launch of the Camp Liberty armed helicopter.

The above inferences are based on real history, and it does not mean that it will definitely appear in the game. After all, there is too little official information, and they may also choose more advanced armed helicopters. Which helicopters do you think will appear?
